I have lived and worked in Dublin all my life and I have a lifetime of memories and stories to share. I have studied mainstream history and also local history for many years. The Irish are great storytellers and my family are no exception!
Some of our greatest writers and poets, such as Joyce, Swift, Yeats, Heaney, Wilde, Beckett, Stoker, Shaw, O Casey and Behan, followed in the great tradition of Irish storytelling. Come with me and on a tour you will hear about our Celtic and Viking past, the great literature, music and art we have produced as well as the turbulent relationship we have had with our closest neighbours. You will also hear about some of the great men and women who fought for our freedom through the many centuries of oppression and occupation.
Dublin is my home and my favourite city. I met my wife here and we raised our children here. I can’t wait to guide you around ‘me jewel and darlin’ Dublin!

I am a lifelong Dublin resident, all 68 years of me ! I have always lived on the Northside of the city, close to the coast and our fresh sea air. I love walking and am very interested in the many sports played in Ireland, especially our Gaelic football and hurling.
I spent many years working in the city centre area, now retired, during which I spent many happy hours learning about our beautiful city and points of interest. I love to share my knowledge of Dublin with our visitors. It gives me great pleasure to meet new people and to show them our city and to impart some of our history.
I am immensely proud of our small country and love to chat with our guests and learn about their lives and where they come from etc.
I have 3 adult children, who are all well travelled, with two of them living outside Ireland – I guess they are continuing the long history of emigration from Ireland, but now not so much so for economic reasons but more so to see and experience the world. I like to travel a lot myself and when on holiday I will generally seek out a walking tour guided by a local.
I love the bit of “craic” and want my guests to have a happy and enjoyable experience in Dublin.

I originally come from Belfast, and grew up during the height of the “Troubles”. As kids we thought it was normal to run through riots and burning buses. I came down to Dublin in 1986. It was like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, leaving the monochrome of Belfast for the technicolour of Dublin.
I worked in the Drinks Industry for 35 years. I know all of the great Dublin bars. I absolutely love Dublin, its architecture, culture, and its amazing history but most of all, I love the Dublin people.
